IndianFreeAds is the world's online marketplace for local buying and selling.

Do I have to Register to use IndianFreeAds?
It is not necessary to register to browse items in the Classified section. However, you must register if you want to post and / or sell items in the POST FREE CLASSIFIED of the site. To register at IndianFreeAds is FREE and the process is very simple:
1. Click on “ Click here to post an advertisement” and you will be asked to provide your basic contact information.
2. IndianFreeAds will send to your e-mail a message with a link and instructions for confirming your registration.
3. Finally, you are now Registered at IndianFreeAds!
Once you have registered, you can manage your postings and personal information in the site.

How do I find an item at IndianFreeAds?
You can Browse by clicking on any city when you simply want to explore the range of items in IndianFreeAds in a particular city. If you find an item you're interested in, just click on the Ad Heading.
You can also Search for items when you are looking for a specific item that you can describe using a few words. In this case, simply go to the search box, enter a few words describing what you are looking for and choose the city & category & then click the “Search” button. A page of IndianFreeAds listings displays. Review your search results pages and if you see something you're interested in, just click on the item title.

How do I post an item at IndianFreeAds?
Click on the “POST FREE CLASSIFIED” button. If you don’t have an account yet, please register for an IndianFreeAds account by providing your basic contact information. After registration process is complete you are ready to post. If you already have an IndianFreeAds account, simply login and follow the process. You will be asked to select Categories and Subcategories to post your item at IndianFreeAds. Posting at IndianFreeAds is FREE.

How do I upload a picture?
During the posting process, you will find the instructions to upload pictures. You simply have to follow them. IndianFreeAds picture upload process is easy. Lighter pictures will upload faster; ideally less than 200 kb each. Uploading pictures to IndianFreeAds is FREE.

How do I edit a posting?
You can edit your postings through the “My Alerts” option in the site. Please go to the My Alerts and click the “Edit” button. Once you have made and approved the changes, they will take effect immediately. You can repeat this process any time you want.

How do I remove my posting?
If your item sells or you decide to remove it, you can end your listing in the Active link within the ‘My Alerts’ option in the site. Please go to the My Alerts and click the “Delete” button.

How do I Repost my posting?
Repost classified is a unique feature of IndianFreeAds.com, in which you can bring your classified to Top Position in our listing again, without the need of re-approval.
You can repost your postings through the “My Alerts” option in the site. Please go to the My Alerts and click the “repost” button. Once you have repost your ad, they will take effect immediately.

How do I Save an Ad in the Basket?
Click on the Ad you want to save. You can save this Ad by click on the " Save To Basket ".The Ad is automatically saved in the Basket.

How do I send an Ad Information to a Friend?
Click on the Ad you want to send to your friend. Below the Ad description an option will come " Email this AD to your friend ". You can send the Ad Information to your Friend by clicking on this option.

How do I reply to an Ad?
Click on the Ad you want to reply. Below the Ad description an option will come " Reply to this ad ". You can reply by clicking on this option. |
How do I avoid being tricked by a scam or fraud?
Please be aware that on occasion scams have been reported. Therefore, be extra careful when dealing with any financial transactions.
To help you avoid being tricked by a scam or fraud, here are some tips:
1. Never send out an item until you are certain that the buyer's check has cleared your bank. If the check is from another country this could take more than a month.
2. Depositing or cashing a check does not mean that the check has cleared your bank or that it will not still bounce. If it does bounce your bank will hold you responsible. Oftentimes the checks are fake cashiers checks, but the bank won't know this or inform you until after it has bounced, and you will still be held responsible.
3. Never accept a check for a larger amount than the asking price. One of the most common scams occurs when the buyer says they will send a check for an amount well over the item's price, under the condition that you will send the remaining balance to the buyer's associate, shipper, or some other 3rd party via Western Union or another carrier. Once you have wired the money there is no way to retrieve it, and when the buyer's check bounces your bank will hold you responsible for the loss.
4. Never send payment via Western Union, Money Gram, or any other carrier. Often the deal will seem too good to be true, and once the money has been wired it is impossible to retrieve. Sometimes the seller will claim they need an MTCN or confirmation code to withdraw the money'this is false, once the money is wired, it is gone. The item you thought you paid for will never arrive.
5. Never give out any personal account information (PayPal account, eBay account, social security number, checking account, etc.)
6. Be especially careful when dealing with distant buyers or sellers. Countries where scams have been originating more often recently are Ukraine, Netherlands, Spain, Romania, UK, Italy, Spain, and Nigeria, but they could be anywhere.
7. Most online escrow services are fraudulent. If you must do business with a distant seller be sure to use a legitimate escrow service, such as www.escrow.com.
8. Always use common sense. If a deal seems too good to be true, or would not make sense from the other end, then it is most likely a scam.

If you don’t have an account yet, please register for an IndianFreeAds account by providing your basic contact information & you can post your first Ad at the time of registration. You can also upload four images for your Ad at the time of posting.Finally, click on the “Post FREE Advertisement” link .Posting in IndianFreeAds is absolutely FREE.

As a buyer, how do I contact a seller?
First, search or browse to find an item you are interested in. If you are not registered, simply fill in the form with your return email address and your question and we will forward your message to the seller. If you already have an IndianFreeAds account, please login. If you don’t have an account yet and wish to have the benefits of it, please register for an IndianFreeAds account by providing your basic contact information. After registration process is complete you are ready to bid. Go to the Reply to this ad and click submit.
